For anyone with a "child-at-heart" kind of attitude toward life, becoming a children's magician is not as difficult as you might think. There are, of course some basic magical techniques that will have to be learned, but because the effects are designed with children, particularly the younger three to seven-year-old set in mind, they are quite simple in their design and method.
Depending on skills you may already possess, you may be able to begin performing and booking yourself in very short time. As you progress, and especially as your name and reputation begin to spread in the birthday party and other children's entertainment circles, you may even wish to find yourself an agent if demand dictates it, where you'll be able to perform at shopping centre promotional events, school assemblies, community events, etc. I'll show you a technique on how to generate a educationally beneficial packages that also generate income for you. In this way, both sides win!
There is no age nor gender barrier - anyone can do this if one puts in the time and patience for practice. You are only limited by your personal physical abilites or restrictions, as realistically, there is an enormous amount of manual dexterity involved in much of this teaching. That being said ... the rest of this blog will continue without referring to it again. :)
Do you remember as a child, learning to ride a bicycle? Did you begin to balance, steer, brake etc. on your very first attempt? Of course not. Most of us skinned an elbow or knee before we got up and tried it again, didn't we?
Learning something new - anything - will require a bit of practice. But honestly, it is not difficult! And as I mentioned, it is not designed for most people over the age of eight years anyway, so the entire concept, from presentation to climax, is kept to a K-I-V-S (Keep It Very Simple) principle.
We'll go into a few basic items you'll need to get in my next blog. I'll also tell you where to get them, and tip you on some sources for the best supplies.
Til then... *poof*

Hello! and Welcome to my Blog!
If you'll take the time to put in the practice, I can teach you how to become a successful Children's Magician. Rewards can be huge for someone with a flair for the stage, who loves to meet people (especially children!), or someone who just loves to entertain. While the focus is on entertaining for children (birthday parties, school assemblies, shopping centre promotions etc.), the methods can be easily applied in
other areas, such as restaurant work, corporate worker, etc.
Throughout, there'll be tricks to learn (which aren't difficult at all, believe me!)that will require practice in order to master. The tricks themselves are easy enough for anyone of any age to learn. The real work comes in the acting.
Stick with me - we're going on a wonderful journey!
